It was in London, in 1948, during the Olympic Games, that Rosita met Ottavio Missoni, an athlete from the Italian athletics team, who was also a sports equipment manufacturer. was born into a family that owned a textile factory and was used to business. They married and in 1953 they started another company in the weaving business in the Lombardy region – Italy, where they produced colored knits and sold to other brands. Zig Zag Missoni is actually the name of the brand that invented it. In 1958, the Italian fabric factory bet on different patterns, made up of numerous zigs-zags inspired by African culture. The result was absolute success and today Missoni is present both in clothing fashion and in home fashion.
